Our Standards
Real American Market is an online marketplace that connects shoppers with independent sellers. We require approved sellers to provide accurate information, follow our marketplace rules, and comply with applicable laws. Our review is intended to support transparency, but it is not a certification or guarantee of any seller, product, claim, or transaction.
IMPORTANT MARKETPLACE DISCLOSURE
Except where a listing expressly identifies Real American Market as the seller, products available through the website are offered and fulfilled by independent third-party sellers. Each seller is responsible for its business information, product descriptions, country-of-origin statements, ingredients and materials, pricing, taxes, legal compliance, product safety, warranties, fulfillment, shipping, returns, refunds, and customer service. Real American Market may review seller applications, documents, listings, complaints, and other information. That review does not constitute independent testing, inspection, certification, endorsement, warranty, or guarantee unless a specific page expressly states otherwise.
What This Means for Shoppers
- Read the product page, materials, ingredients, dimensions, origin information, processing time, shipping terms, and seller policies before placing an order.
- Shipping, returns, refunds, exchanges, warranties, and customer service procedures may vary by seller, subject to marketplace rules and applicable law.
- Questions about a product, including use, fit, ingredients, allergens, safety, care, or compatibility, should be directed to the seller identified on the listing.
- Shoppers may report suspected policy violations, inaccurate listings, intellectual-property concerns, safety issues, or other problems through the marketplace support channel.
The Real American Market Standards
The standards below describe what sellers are required to do. They do not create a guarantee of seller or product performance.
Seller Application Review
Prospective sellers must submit an application containing requested business, identity, product, and operational information. We may request additional documents or clarification. Approval is based on the information available to us and may be denied, limited, suspended, or withdrawn.
Accurate Product Information
Sellers must provide descriptions, photographs, pricing, dimensions, materials, ingredients, warnings, processing times, and other details that are accurate and not materially misleading. Information supplied by sellers is not independently tested or confirmed by Real American Market unless expressly stated.
Country-of-Origin Disclosures
Sellers must accurately describe where products are made, manufactured, grown, assembled, or processed and must have a reasonable basis for any “Made in USA,” “American-made,” state-of-origin, or similar claim. Real American Market does not independently trace every component or inspect every facility unless a specific verification program expressly states otherwise.
Independent Seller Responsibility
Each seller operates an independent business and is responsible for its products, representations, taxes, licenses, insurance, legal obligations, fulfillment, warranties, and customer service. Marketplace approval does not make a seller an employee, agent, partner, or representative of Real American Market.
Product Compliance and Safety
Sellers must comply with applicable laws, regulations, labeling rules, age restrictions, warnings, recall duties, and product-specific requirements. Sellers may not list prohibited, unlawful, counterfeit, recalled, or materially unsafe products.
Transparent Fulfillment Information
Sellers must disclose reasonable processing estimates, shipping charges, available delivery methods, return conditions, and material order limitations. Delivery dates are estimates unless a seller expressly provides a binding commitment.
Respectful Marketplace Conduct
Sellers and users must not engage in fraud, deception, harassment, discrimination, threats, hate-based conduct, manipulation of reviews, or misuse of customer information. Separate conduct and prohibited-products policies may provide additional details.
Cooperation with Reviews
Sellers must respond to reasonable requests for information and cooperate with reviews of complaints, safety concerns, intellectual-property notices, origin claims, chargebacks, or suspected policy violations. Failure to cooperate may result in restrictions or removal.
How We Apply Our Standards
Application Submission
The seller submits requested information about the business, products, production process, fulfillment practices, and any other required eligibility details.
Initial Review
We review the submitted information for apparent completeness and consistency with marketplace eligibility requirements. We may request clarification or supporting documentation.
Listing Responsibility
Approved sellers create and maintain their own listings. Sellers remain responsible for the truthfulness, legality, and completeness of all listing content and product claims.
Ongoing Monitoring
We may review listings, customer reports, seller performance, returns, disputes, public notices, or other relevant information. Monitoring may be periodic, complaint-based, automated, manual, or a combination of these methods.
Corrective Action
Depending on the issue, we may request edits, additional documents, customer remediation, listing removal, account restrictions, payment holds where permitted, suspension, or termination.
Reinstatement or Appeal
Where the applicable policy allows, a seller may submit additional information or request reconsideration. Real American Market retains discretion to protect users, comply with law, and enforce marketplace policies.
Important Limits of Review
- Application review is not a background check, facility inspection, laboratory test, legal opinion, product certification, or guarantee unless the marketplace expressly identifies a specific review as such.
- Documents may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or altered. Sellers remain responsible for the information and claims they submit.
- A seller’s approval does not mean that every future listing has been individually reviewed.
- A badge, story feature, search placement, promotion, or homepage feature does not constitute an endorsement or warranty.
